The Town of Somers and the Somers Historical Society hosted the
Somers Point, NJ Historical Society on June 25.  Somers Point is
the birthplace of Richard Somers, for whom Somers is named after.
On September 17, 2011 Somers Point hosted the  Somers Historical
Society.

The Somers Historical Society has loaned Bard Graduate Center
several pieces of their collections for Bard's exhibit entitled:
Circus and the City: New York, 1793 - 2010
The exhibit runs from September 21, 2012 to February 3, 2013

The Somers Historical Society has loaned the Harley-Davidson
Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin pieces of their collections that
belonged resident William Johnson, the first African American
Harley-Davidson dealer in the US, which was located in Somers.
Harley-Davidson Iron Elite Exhibit
