To heighten awareness of historic properties throughout the Town of Somers, Somers Historical Society is scheduling house tours, open houses and concerts at various historic sites throughout the year, beginning in May 2009, National Preservation Month.  National Preservation Month is a national observance organized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation to recognize and highlight historic properties, nationwide.  This year’s theme is “This Place Matters.”

Tour the circa 1970's residence of poet laureate Billy Collins and wife, Diane.
Guests may bid on one of autographed works by Mr. Collins.
The home is included in current exhibition.
