Somers Historical Society is a 501( c ) (3) non-profit organization and retains an Absolute Charter from the NY State Dept. of Education.   The Society is a member of American Association of State and Local History, the Lower Hudson Conference, the Westchester Arts Council, Circus Fans of America , the Circus Historical Society and Somers Chamber of Commerce.

Visit an historic structure and learn about new ecologically sound preservation efforts in our Town.

Participate in "Green Week" in Somers and join in spring clean-up and gardening at one of the Town's historic sites.

To heighten awareness of historic properties throughout the Town of Somers, Somers Historical Society is scheduling house tours, open houses and concerts at various historic sites throughout the year, beginning in May 2010, National Preservation Month.  National Preservation Month is a national observance organized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation to recognize and highlight historic properties, nationwide.  This year’s theme is “This Place Matters.”
